I write because some things are too important to leave buried beneath polished language, religious performance, or silence. My work is shaped by faith, lived experience, hard questions, a stubborn refusal to make peace with what harms, and the kind of truth that most definitely does not arrive quietly. That much I can say with confidence. This website is a place to gather the pieces. Here you'll find my books, writing, reflections, teaching, conversations, resources, and probably the occasional tangent that became too honest to ignore. Much of my work confronts the places where church language has too often been used to cover what the Gospel came to confront, while helping us recover what may have been buried beneath it. I certainly don't have all the answers and I don't write as if I do. I also cannot promise that everything you read here will feel polite, comfortable, or easy to swallow. Truth has a way of offending what harm has taught us to protect. I am someone who has lived life long enough to know that healing is rarely tidy, truth is not always welcome, and grace was never meant to be used as a hiding place for harm. My hope is that somewhere in this work you may find language for something you have carried quietly, clarity for something you have struggled to name, or simply the relief of knowing you are not the only one who has wondered if there is more to faith than pretending everything is fine.
